Once again, we're screening ALL of the Oscar nominated animation shorts this year! Enjoy the year's best animated shorts AND get a leg up on the competition in your Oscar predictions (we'll be screening the Oscars live on Sunday, 3/4 if you'd like to join us for that too)! This year's picks include both small studios as well as old faithfuls like Pixar.
GARDEN PARTY (FRANCE/7MINS) - In a deserted mansion, a couple of amphibians explore their surroundings and follow their primal instincts.
DEAR BASKETBALL (USA/5MINS) - Basketball great Kobe Bryant collaborated with visionary animator Glen Keane and legendary composer John Williams on an animated short film that explores what it means to achieve your dream, and then leave it behind.
LOU (USA/7MINS) - When a toy stealing bully ruins recess for a playground full of kids, only one thing stands in his way: the “Lost and Found” box [PIXAR].
REVOLTING RHYMES (UK/29MINS) - Retellings of classic fairy tales with playful twists and surprising endings, based on the book by Roald Dahl.
NEGATIVE SPACE (FRANCE/6MINS) - An adaptation of the eponymous poem by Ron Koertge, which tells the story of a relationship between a father and son through the organized art of packing of a suitcase.
