Founded in London in 2011, Discrepant is a record label that "aims to decontsruct, distort and re-assemble the lore of (un)popular music around the world.
Based out of the Canary Islands, LAGOSS is a trio consisting of label head Gonçalo F. Cardoso, alongside Mladen Kurajica and Daniel García. Moving away from their previous 'megamix vignette' based work, the trio now experiments with a more song based approach whilst still keeping their trademark jam infused tropicalia and electronic freak outs with an offering to their 1970’s sci-fi masters – enter the lift to the stars.
After more than a decade Starving Weirdos, the mythical Humboldt County based duo of Brian Pyle and Merrick McKinlay, reappear seemingly out of nowhere in celebration of their new lp Atheistsaregods- out August 18th on Discrepant.
