Alex Silva is a sound engineer and composer whose interpretation of electronic and contemporary composition draws influence from his early days playing in punk bands in Spain. Originally from Galicia, he completed a master’s degree in Music for Film Composition in Barcelona and currently resides in Baltimore, Maryland. His debut album Mind Patter Explorer got released by Canadian Duck Tapes (Baltimore, MD) and it was featured in the “Off the Air” episode about Technology by Adult Swim - Comedy Central.
BL_ank is the solo project of electroacoustic percussionist and experimental artist Will Hicks. A classically trained pianist and lifelong drummer, Hicks began performing as a noise rock drummer in 2009, touring extensively across the U.S. for several years before launching B|_ank in 2016. Their solo project merges furious drumming with analog synthesizers, electronic percussion, and live-manipulated visuals to create immersive and abstract sonic experiences. Balancing harsh, rhythmic intensity with moments of atmospheric beauty, their performances blur the line between chaos and control, constantly pushing the limits of sound and movement.
