ABOUT ABOUT

Winner of this year's Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize!

"This is the rare “profile” documentary that is also a transcendent work of art. It raises questions we’ll be trying to answer for as long as there is art." - New York Magazine

Locked away from society in an apartment on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the Angulo brothers learn about the outside world through the films that they watch. Nicknamed the Wolfpack, the brothers spend their childhood re-enacting their favorite films using elaborate homemade props and costumes. With no friends and living on welfare, they feed their curiosity, creativity, and imagination with film, which allows them to escape from their feelings of isolation and loneliness. Everything changes when one of the brothers escapes, and the power dynamics in the house are transformed. The Wolfpack must learn how to integrate into society without disbanding the brotherhood. DOCUMENTARY. Not rated. 90m. Doors open at the advertized time, movie starts 10 minutes later.

"Not since Grey Gardens has a film invited us into such a strange, barely-functioning home and allowed us to gawk without reservation. This is a nosy movie, but it is altogether fascinating." - The Guardian

*NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS are allowed in Richards' Goat Tavern or The Miniplex. These movies are paid for with proceeds from concessions, and outside beverages put our liquor license in jeopardy and will result in being permanently banished from the theatre.
